What we do not do
A list of what you will not find here, so you know where you stand.
A health site usually tells you only what it can do. This is the other half, and it is at least as useful: knowing where we stop tells you when you need somebody else.
We do not diagnose
What is here is about healthy people who want to function better. Nothing here identifies a condition and nothing here treats one. If you have symptoms you see a doctor, and that is the first step rather than a step along the way.
We do not replace your doctor
Nor your physiotherapist, your dietitian or your pharmacist. If you take medication, talk to somebody who has your file before you change anything. We do not have your file and never will.
We do not claim anything treats a disease
No product and no protocol on this site cures, treats or prevents a disease. That is not only a legal rule, it is also exactly what the evidence carries and no more.
We do not sell a mechanism as evidence
That something works in a test tube does not mean it works in you. This is why every verdict states separately how it is supposed to work and separately what has been measured in people. On most sites those two run into each other.
We do not leave out null results
A study that found nothing gets the same space as one that found something. Where the best research in a field found nothing, that is the conclusion, even when we sell the product.
We do not call something effective on one study
One positive trial is a start, not an answer. Every verdict carries what it rests on and how solid that is, with the rule beside it, so you can check it and disagree with us.
We do not make personal statements from general numbers
An average from a cohort of a hundred thousand says something about those hundred thousand, not about you. So every calculator here prints what it cannot know about you, beside the number it gives you.
We do not invent urgency
No countdown clocks, no last chance, no stock that is almost gone when it is not. If something really is nearly gone it says so, and otherwise it does not.
